We're building robust, zero-emission fusion reactors for marine deployment — unlocking a practical, scalable solution to decarbonize global maritime transport and remote energy installations.
Maritime Fusion began with the following realization: HTS magnets enable breakeven fusion, but not necessarily competitive grid fusion. Is there an alternative application besides the grid that is better suited for this first generation of fusion reactor technology?
Ultimately, we view these off-grid markets as a stepping stone, to allow us to deploy a fleet of FOAK fusion reactors, while we learn, iterate, and discover new materials. This will then eventually enable cost competitive grid scale reactors on a timeline closer to 2040.
Our founders met at SpaceX, reunited at Tesla, having learned how to engineer from first principles and bring cutting edge technologies to market.
Now, we’re bringing fusion from from theory to deployment, starting with one of the hardest sectors to decarbonize.
